You Had To Be a Feminist

How is an exhibition on feminism made?

Abstract

Before a proposal to curate an exhibition on feminism and my own initial doubts, this article outlines the approach for an unpredictable and up-to-date exhibition in this century. All in the context of a pandemic and of the confinement of the population, which turns this event into an even greater challenge.

With great repercussion on social media, this exhibition presents images, titles and situations that are recognizable for most people and that accompany us in our daily lives. Through a path of objective data that presents the masculinity of the 21st century with a humorous, indiscreet and provocative tone, You Had to Be a Feminist guides us on a journey marked by the symbolism of color that reminds us where we come from in order to know where we are heading to.
